Septum, Nipple, Body ring
Two-part captive bead mechanism, the hoop for 16ga 8mm and 16ga 10mm are ASTM F-136 g23 implant grade titanium. Hoops for 14ga 10mm and 12ga 11mm are ASTM-F138 316-LVM Implant Grade Steel both sourced from U.S. based certified manufacturer. The decorative sheath is .925 sterling silver nickel-free two-part additive-free Ag/Cu alloy. The hoop is inserted into the piercing and the decorative sheath snaps onto the hoop in the same way as a conventional captive bead mechanism.
Note: This design is slightly heavier than my others, I stopped noticing the additional weight after wearing it for a few hours and at no point found it uncomfortable but if you are sensitive to heavier piercings this may be an issue.
On selecting the right size, due to sizing issues, the 8mm style of this ring has been discontinued. Also please be aware that especially on larger gauges and diameters this piece is quite a bit longer than a conventional septum ring as it is a statement piece please refer to dimensional images to help decide if this is the right piece for you. Note that as all rings are hand made overall length may vary by 1-2 mm.
